About the role
The Team Leader – Health and Nursing is a campus-based role responsible for our leading our Tutors delivering Healthcare Academy of New Zealand programs. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that Tutors deliver a consistent student classroom experience, oversee all aspects of team development from a teaching and learning perspective, and contribute to a vibrant campus culture in keeping with the Yoobee Way.
The Team Leader holds an operational reporting line to the Campus Manager but are professionally accountable to the Head of Faculty – Health & Nursing for academic quality, curriculum integrity, moderation compliance, and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities sit across these four segments:
- Team Leadership and Staff Management
- Staff Compliance and Administrative Oversight
- Student Support and Academic Quality
- Curriculum Development and Teaching Excellence

Qualifications
About You
You are an enthusiastic, knowledgeable clinician or clinical educator who values education and is passionate about developing future nurses. With a background in leading teams, you thrive in diverse teaching environments, are confident communicating across cultures, and understand the importance of both academic and practical learning in preparing students for professional practice.
Required Skills/Experience
- Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate (essential)
- Hold a postgraduate qualification (or working towards) in nursing, education, or a related field
- Proven experience leading academic or clinical teams
- Demonstrated experience in clinical education, clinical placement coordination, or academic leadership
- Experience contributing to NCNZ accreditation, monitoring, or programme approval processes
- Strong working knowledge of Nursing Council of New Zealand Education Programme Standards
- Certificate in Adult Teaching
