UM Shore Regional Health, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking an experienced General Surgery Physician Assistant to join its practice in Chestertown, Maryland, which is located on Maryland’s beautiful eastern shore. This will be an inpatient and outpatient-based position supporting our well-established general surgery team comprised of 4 General Surgeons and 3 Advanced Practice Providers.  

 Job Specifics:

• Seeking a highly energetic, self-starter Surgical PA that seeks independence in patient management and wants to work in a team. 
• Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8am- 4:30pm, no call
• Tuesday/Fridays are procedure and OR days
• Responsibilities will include clinic coverage inpatient rounding, consults, and assisting in the OR.

• Graduation from a Physician Assistant educational program approved by the State Board of Licensing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Maryland required.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant required. 
• 5 years experience as a Physician Assistant  is required, ideal candidate will have experiece in a primary care or GI setting.
• Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
• DEA and CDS eligible.
