Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to take full ownership of Unit4's ESG program, including CSRD and other climate disclosure obligations, while executing key workstreams across our broader compliance program. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Head of Compliance & Risk, and working as an individual contributor within the Legal team, you will be a trusted compliance professional who helps teams across the business move quickly and responsibly. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants to run the ESG program end to end and execute compliance operations that are adopted and integrated across a global technology company.

This role moves quickly in a fast-paced SaaS business. You will own defined lanes, build compliance processes that are scalable and enforceable, and advise across the business. Your remit includes, but is not limited to:

What You'll Own

  • Policy Lifecycle Management: drafting, maintenance, version control, and global rollout

  • ESG program management: own the ESG reporting calendar and disclosure obligations, including CSRD, GHG Protocol emissions reporting, and other applicable climate disclosure regimes (e.g., Norway Transparency Act, California SB 261)

  • Anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance: including third-party and channel partner risk

  • Compliance training program: design and delivery

  • Day-to-day execution of the legal and compliance program's operational cadence (training, attestations, reporting calendars)

  • Sanctions and export control compliance: third-party screening, KYC due diligence, and monitoring for sanctions and export control obligations across jurisdictions

What You'll Build and Improve On

  • Faster, more consistent policy drafting and alignment processes, reducing cycle time from draft to global rollout

  • Iterating on how the compliance program is organized, prioritized, and resourced

  • Regulatory horizon scanning across jurisdictions, feeding into the legal and regulatory register and program priorities

  • ESG data collection and reporting infrastructure, including investor and shareholder ESG questionnaire responses and third-party ratings submission

  • Cross-functional intake and escalation paths so compliance issues surface earlier, not after the fact

  • Support insurance portfolio management

  • Lead legal contact for compliance-related RFP and customer questionnaire requirements

What You'll Advise On

  • Business teams navigating compliance questions in real time across all functions

  • Risk implications of new initiatives, partnerships and acquisitions

  • Strategic ESG positioning and practical application of ESG requirements to the business

  • Policy interpretation and guidance

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 5 years executing, managing, or developing a global compliance program

  • Demonstrated experience managing a global ESG/CSRD reporting program end to end, including GHG Protocol and third-party ESG ratings

  • Strong, demonstrable interest and capability in compliance and risk management

  • Practical experience advising on compliance in a technology, SaaS, or software context

  • Experience improving and speeding up policy drafting, alignment, and maintenance processes

  • Experience contributing to strategic compliance structuring reviews

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a larger team

  • A pragmatic, problem-solving mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions

  • Comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first, multi-jurisdictional environment

JD/law degree preferred but not required. Corporate governance experience is a plus but not required.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Compliance policies are current, consistently applied, and completed on a predictable cycle

  • CSRD and other ESG disclosure deadlines are met accurately and on time, with defensible underlying data

  • Compliance risk assessments are proactive and inform business decisions before issues materialize, not after

  • The AGC and broader legal team can rely on you to run compliance workstreams independently, escalating only what genuinely needs escalation

  • Business stakeholders see compliance as a trusted partner, not a bottleneck
