Job Description

The HR Generalist is the local HR owner for AT-PAC Mexico, delivering hands-on HR and payroll ownership across the employee lifecycle. The role provides first-line support to employees and managers while ensuring accurate, timely and legally compliant HR administration and end-to-end payroll execution.

The role reports directly to the Managing Director Mexico and works in close partnership with the Regional HRBP LAM through a dotted-line reporting relationship.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable working autonomously, solving problems and building trusted relationships across AT-PAC Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Mexico payroll end to end, including incidences, attendance, leave, variable compensation, deductions, benefits, employee changes, terminations, and final settlements. Ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing.

  • Ensure compliance with Mexican labor law, IMSS, INFONAVIT, payroll obligations, and local HR requirements.

  • Provide on-site HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, employee changes, personnel files, and offboarding.

  • Act as the main point of contact for payroll, compensation and benefits, time management, HR policies, and employee queries.

  • Support the Regional HRBP LAM on performance management, employee development, engagement, and workplace-climate initiatives.

  • Support employee relations matters and conflict resolution, escalating complex cases appropriately.

  • Maintain accurate and complete HR and payroll data, ensuring data integrity, reliable reporting, and audit readiness.

  • Lead HR process-improvement and digitalization initiatives to strengthen efficiency, data quality, and employee experience.

  • Collaborate with the HR teams in Chile and Peru to standardize shared procedures and build reciprocal backup coverage for key HR and payroll activities.

Qualifications

You are a hands-on HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and takes pride in getting the operational details right. You do not wait for others to solve problems. You investigate, propose a solution, take ownership, and involve the right people when a decision requires escalation.

  • Resilience and adaptability: You remain calm under pressure, manage changing priorities, and handle sensitive situations with maturity.

  • Curiosity and learning agility: You are keen to learn regional processes, understand business needs, and continuously improve how HR support is delivered.

  • Collaboration: You build trusted partnerships with local management, employees, Finance, external providers, and regional HR colleagues.

  • A high-performance mindset: You set high standards, follow through on commitments, and look for better ways to deliver results.

  • Integrity and confidentiality: You handle personal, labor, and payroll information with discretion, sound judgment, and respect.

What You Bring
