Job Description
ABOUNT THE JOB:

As a Junior Project Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design and execution of formwork solutions by producing AutoCAD drawings and material lists for customer projects. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will build your technical expertise through hands-on experience and close mentorship, while collaborating with commercial and operations teams to deliver effective solutions. You will contribute to meeting the needs of new and existing clients by providing high-quality, timely, and efficient formwork designs.
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop formwork solutions in AutoCAD, including drawings for customer presentations, offer drawings, and shop drawings.
- Collaborate with the Sales team during the proposal stage to prepare technical drawings and finalize working drawings for site execution.
- Ensure all designs reflect the proper use of Doka formwork systems and meet safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness standards.
- Propose optimal technical and economical solutions based on project requirements and customer needs.
- Perform basic static calculations to support design accuracy and structural integrity.
- Prepare material lists for quotations and site shipments, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Verify material availability during the design phase and ensure solutions are based on available inventory and contractual guidelines.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of drawings and technical documentation in line with project deadlines.
- Support Sales with client presentations, technical input, and participation in job site visits.
- Conduct site visits to assess implementation, identify potential issues, and support corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain a strong understanding of concrete formwork systems and their application.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Perform additional duties and participate in projects or company initiatives as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- University degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology
EXPERIENCE:
- 0–2 years of experience in the construction or engineering industry (entry-level candidates are welcome).
MINIMUN TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Package
PLUS TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Understanding of static calculations and structural concepts
- Knowledge of formwork systems, concrete construction, or metal fabrication drawings.
- Basic proficiency in Revit or other BIM tools
- Exposure to job site environments or construction operations.
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve technical problems effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with at least an intermediate level of English (written and verbal).
- Organized, detail-oriented team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
