Job Description

As Head of Procurement Production & Headquarters, you are a member of the Procurement Board at our corporate headquarters in Amstetten and report directly to the Vice President Procurement. You work closely with regional procurement teams in our global areas and play a key role in driving our global transformation process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop the procurement team for our production and headquarters (>15 FTEs)
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost savings and improve supplier performance
- Responsible for a total procurement spend exceeding EUR 350 million in close collaboration with our global Category Management team
- Functional guidance and close collaboration with our other production procurement managers
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Oversee contract negotiations and management
- Implement and manage procurement systems and processes to enhance efficiency and transparency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function
- Cooperate with all other global procurement teams, as well as with corporate departments.
- Live and promote our Umdasch Group Values & the global Doka strategy
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Proven leadership experience (enabling & empowering disciplinary and functional reports, inspiring others, management by objectives)
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract negotiation
- In-depth understanding of international procurement regulations and practices
- Strong knowledge of procurement software (SAP R3, S4 and SAP Ariba) and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve cost savings targets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication in English and German
- Flexibility to travel when needed

A salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualifications and adequate professional experience.
We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is € 68.106,- according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry).
