Job Description

Yard Operations & Material Handling 

  • Lead and oversee all daily yard and warehouse operations including receiving, staging, picking, dispatching, returns processing, and material storage.  

  • Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of trucks using forklifts and approved material handling equipment.  

  • Maintain organized yard layout, proper material flow, and efficient use of yard space.  

  • Ensure materials are bundled, labeled, stored, and identified correctly in designated locations.  

  • Monitor outbound shipments to ensure orders are accurate, complete, and prepared on schedule.  

  • Oversee inbound rental returns including unloading, inspection, sorting, reconditioning and re-storage of materials.  

Inventory Control & Quality Management 

  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through proper receiving, picking, and returns processes.  

  • Conduct and oversee regular cycle counts and full inventory counts (twice per year).  

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and internal damaged material reports.  

  • Ensure damaged or defective materials are properly segregated, tagged, documented, and communicated.  

  • Support inventory reconciliation and data integrity within ERP and inventory management systems.  

  • Ensure outgoing materials meet AT-PAC quality and safety standards prior to dispatch.  

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in yard, warehouse, logistics, or industrial operations leadership.  

  • Previous experience within scaffolding, construction, industrial rental, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments considered an asset.  

  • Proven experience developing teams within fast-paced operational environments.  

  • Strong understanding of material handling, inventory control, and logistics coordination.  

  • Forklift certification required.  

  • Experience operating ERP and inventory management systems preferred.  

  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel and Outlook.  

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.  

  • Demonstrated ability to implement structure, accountability, and operational process improvements.  

  • Diploma or degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field is an asset but non-essential.  

Physical & Working Conditions 

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, pinching, and lifting.  

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 100 lbs when required.  

  • Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.  

  • Work is performed indoors (office) and outdoors in all weather conditions.  

  • Exposure to moving equipment and heavy industrial materials.  

  • Safety-sensitive work environment.  

Schedule 

Monday to Friday 
Standard operating hours based on branch requirements.
