HR Generalist - Doka Kuwait - Based in Doha/Qatar

Job Description

Doka Kuwait is managed by Doka Qatar, thus looking to appoint an enthusiastic HR Generalist based in Qatar who is responsible for Payroll and general HR Operations of the Company.  We are looking for an approachable and detail-oriented HR Generalist who is happy to be the first point of contact for all employee enquiries and who has solid experience in local rules and regulations. Despite being located in Qatar, establishing relationships and regular contact with the team in Kuwait as well as regular travel will be important for this role. The position reports to the Head of Support Kuwait with a functional reporting line to the Head of HR Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Drive recruitment, selection and onboarding process for vacant positions including visa procedures together with PRO.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers/supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate internal or external partners.
  • Perform all payroll requirements with the support of Head of Finance & Controlling DKUW.
  • Maintain an accurate SAP HR database (hard and soft copies) including leave and time keeping.
  • Play an active part in the Area HR network to enhance collaboration, best practice exchange and learning opportunities.
  • Take the lead for the Kuwait organization to implement global or Area HR projects, activities, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain performance and talent management, and training and development together with country management.
  • Review, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Prepare letters, certificates, memos, and reports.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners for Health Insurance and legally required insurance processes by law.
  • Support Managing Director / Head of Finance & Controlling on managing and implementation of year plan/budget for the assigned unit including but not limited to profit sharing bonus and yearly increments.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive person with a strong  ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality as well as the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar human resource role.
  • Thorough knowledge of GCC employment-related laws and regulations, and preferable with Kuwait.
  • Experience in drafting policies.
  • Experience in organizational change management,  is preferable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • SmartRecruiters and SAP HR Module knowledge as a plus.
