Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish ensuring completion on time, within budget and to the expected quality. Supports Sales during planning, quotation and variation stage.

Period:  15th Sept 2020 till 25th December 2020

  • Definition of Projects timelines, critical milestones, quality requirements and costs.

  • Serve as the point of contact for project management staff, subcontractors, shop owners and managers, building engineers, architects, and more during the realization process.

  • Responsibility for the successful implementation of projects, timelines, critical milestones, quality and costs, including the production of purchase orders.

  • Operates internal ERP system to record, specify and confirm full Bill of Quantities.

  • Manage project life cycle including subcontractor negotiations, project scheduling, material procurement, RFI's, pencil draws, change order management, and project close out.

  • Plans, defines and controls targets and time lines for production, procurement & installation.

  • Assures transparency of costs in projects and controls against planned budgets.

  • Conduct meetings with clients, architects, and other partners to provide project updates

  • Raise notice of delay's (NOD's) along with mitigation plans & recovery strategies ahead of time

  • Control and reconcile all commercial & contractual documents.

  • Ensures at all time Corporate HS&E rules are implemented, measured & reported

  • Preparation of regular project reports, file notes & minutes of meetings (MOM's)

  • Responsible for site management, logistics and coordination.

  • Ensures completion of projects including snagging and all variations.

  • Prepares project hand-over & project handover documents

  • Shares lessons learned with the project team.

Qualifications

 

  • Technical education in the furniture or interior fit-out industry

  • Minimum 2 Years relevant project management experience in the shopfitting / retail industry

  • Experienced in Gant-Chart time & resource planning (e.g. MS Projects)

  • Technical knowledge: strong understanding of technical details of furniture manufacturing details, understanding of technical details for Civil Works & MEP, (CAD experience)

  • Commercial & Contractual understanding (FIDIC red book)

  • Strong understanding of project cost analysis & cost control

  • Experience with Online Workplaces & Collaboration Platforms (e.g. MS Sharepoint)

  • Project management, team leadership and time management skills

  • Proficient in English, Arabic or Hindi language skills are an advantage

  • Team player with excellent communication & presentation skills

  • Very organised & structured work ethic
