Job Description

  • Responsible for daily local procurement activities
  • Maintain and continuously evaluate a preferred supplier database considering the Doka procurement guidelines
  • Execute supplier visits on a regular base
  • Ensure cost effectiveness by professional tender management and price negotiation
  • Organise third party testing of externally sourced materials
  • Monitor stock levels for locally procured materials (productive and indirect productive)
  • Follow-up on delivery dates of locally sourced materials
  • Accurate and correct processing in Discos II
  • Maintain reporting transparency for procurement
  • Maintain and improve processes and quality standards
  • Guide and lead junior procurement staff members
  • Support the annual full stock take
  • Other tasks upon request of the Operations Manager

Qualifications

  • Min. 5 years experience in procurement
  • Technical understanding, ideally combined with an engineering qualification and QA/QC experience
  • Preferable experiences: Formwork / construction, Middle East
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and go the extra mile
  • Well organised

  • Strict adherence to the Doka procurement guidelines and processes
  • Excellent English
