Job Description

Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products, located in Westminster, SC., is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer. This position plays a key role in creating and managing document control techniques, strengthening customer/supplier relations, and the strategically analyzing internal/supplier process/systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the accuracy of certifications and specifications;
  • Generating, maintaining, and submitting documents associated with PPAP packages (PFO, FMEA, SPC, and Gage R&R documents);
  • Managing documentation preparation for customer on-site source inspections;
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with the implementation and maintenance of an ISO-9001 or AS-9100 approved quality management system;
  • Functioning as primary point of contact relative to customer complaints pertaining to documentation and compliance of specification;
  • Acting as the Lead Auditor for internal and supplier audits; and
  • Implementing continuous improvement (A3) and corrective action (8D) requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a science, engineering, or a technical field is preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in quality management, quality engineering, or six sigma application; and
  • Effective communication skills – verbal, written, presentation; and intermediate skills with MS Office.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Quality Engineer preferred;
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-9001 environment;
  • Statistical data analysis and problem solving ability;
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and manufacturing requirements;
  • Team building ability through all levels and areas of the organization; and
  • General understanding of performance management requirements (KPIs)
