Job Description

In 2023, it was announced that Massive Entertainment is leading the development of Tom Clancy's The Division 3. While we cannot unveil any details about the third entry in the series at this time, we are actively recruiting for the project. 

We are looking for an experienced generalist programmer to join our newly formed Realization team for Tom Clancy's The Division 3. Collaborating with other programming disciplines, you’ll dive into Character Realization for both players and NPCs, working on facial animation, lighting, audio, and more, ensuring every character feels real and engaging. 

What you’ll do    

  • Designing, implementing, debugging, and iterating on new and existing engine systems, pipelines and tools  
  • Supporting realization designers by fulfilling the technical needs to integrate narrative with gameplay  
  • Performance awareness in algorithms as well as in memory and bandwidth usage  
  • Utilizing your knowledge in C++ to enhance our game development tools and pipelines  
  • Incorporating advanced technologies to enhance our capabilities

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:    

You’re someone who thrives on being creative, helping, and is comfortable in their abilities. You value quality in everything you do and have good attention to detail. You have experience in the software development field and are enthusiastic about collaborating closely with professionals from various disciplines and diverse backgrounds. An interest in cinematic storytelling and narration is a plus. You also enjoy working with a diverse set of responsibilities.  

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience    
  • A solid level of proficiency in C++.    
  • An interest in or prior experience with pipelines from the file system to packages.     
  • Basic understanding of localization, narrative pipelines, and handling data through build systems.    
  • Experience with tools development for large teams    
  • Experience with designing efficient systems, tools, and pipelines
