Job Description
- Partners with the Operations leadership team to understand performance, optimize finance related operational decisions, ensure appropriate financial/accounting rigor, introduce process discipline as needed, and safeguard company assets.
- Establishes accounting classifications particularly related to Revenue recognition and Percentage of completion accounting.
- Develop and implement operational and manufacturing processes and metrics and ensure that systems are in place to support these processes.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the business, its transactional and contractual obligations and become directly involved in specific business issues and their resolutions.
- Oversee and manage all operational accounting systems, processes and procedures while ensuring framework for compliance is maintained across business operations.
- Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process.
- Continually look for ways to improve and simplify the execution of the budgeting and forecasting process while ensuring a high degree of accuracy and leveraging systems capabilities.
- Ensure financial results are reported timely manner
- Ensure readiness for all internal/external audits.
- Ensure the appropriate financial tools are utilized to support all capital and strategic investments and communications results to operations leadership.
- Support month end close and review monthly financial results and key metrics with operations leadership.
- Individual must excel at multi-tasking with the ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks in a timely manner to achieve desired results.
- Provide proactive thought and guidance around organizational evolution and structure.
- Support the Director of Finance in providing value added analytical support related to performance management of the area, including job costing and profitability.
- Supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required.
- Minimum experience 5 years
- Financial Analysis experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Audit experience preferred.
- Possess a track record demonstrating the management of increasing levels of responsibility, successful business partnering at a senior level, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Standardization of reporting.
- Best practice sharing.
- Fluency in the English language is required.
- Problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills required.
- Ability to function within a team, working cooperatively toward team and individual goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
