Policy Operations Program Manager I, LATAM
- Full-time
Company Description
Twitter is what's happening and what people are talking about right now. For us, life's not about a job, it's about purpose. We believe real change starts with conversation. Here, your voice matters. Come as you are and together we'll do what's right (not what's easy) to serve the public conversation.
Job Description
The Policy Operations team is charged with ensuring a quality and safe user experience with ads, protecting the company from legal and reputational risk, and removing roadblocks for compliant advertisers to transact freely on the platform. We do this by implementing scalable and effective policy enforcement solutions.
As a Policy Operations Program Manager I, you are responsible for implementing data-driven policy enforcement solutions across Twitter's range of revenue products. You will be at the forefront of the most cutting-edge policy issues happening today, and you'll need to ensure we're equipped to execute. You will work hand-in-hand with Trust & Safety and Legal to identify and minimize areas of risk, as well as Sales to ensure that good revenue isn't impacted.
As the first member of the team with a focus on LATAM, you will be partnering closely with cross-functional teams and experts based in Latin America and will be tasked with ensuring these teams understand our policies, enforcement strategies, and have the resources they need to service their partners and/or clients. You must be an expert problem solver adept at crisis management, a collaborative and passionate natural leader, and someone who can influence a cross-functional team with competing priorities. Perhaps most importantly, you must be able to thrive in an ever-changing environment where no two days are the same!
Responsibilities
Represent Policy Operations in partnership with teams focused or based in Brazil, supporting our growing LATAM market
Drive strategy to scale the enforcement of ads policies across Twitter's revenue products
Build relationships with Operations, Sales, and Policy teams in Brazil (and greater LATAM), investigating policy enforcement gaps and identifying priorities for how to tackle
Triage urgent escalations from internal and external customers, going deep into the weeds to troubleshoot root cause and impact, and then stepping back to provide executive summaries and recommendations to senior leaders
Influence Product and Engineering on systems, tools, and logic to improve detection, agent effectiveness, or user/advertiser experience
Serve as an internal policy expert for internal and external customers, helping them achieve revenue goals in a safe environment
Analyze data and translate it into actionable insights and business opportunities
Communicate fearlessly!
Qualifications
Fluency in Portuguese and English required (Spanish is a plus!)
Understanding and interest in Brazilian news, current affairs, and events
3-4+ years experience in operations, policy, risk, or compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both Portuguese and English), with confidence presenting to executive audiences
Exceptional leadership skills and ability to influence at senior levels
Ability to work productively in a fast-moving, cross-functional, and at times ambiguous environment
Extremely detail-oriented with an ability and affinity for process creation
Focused, self-motivated, and proactive in building relationships and pursuing opportunities
Highly analytical and capable of using data to make decisions
Not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done! Role will be strategic but at times tactical
