Job Summary:
The Global Strategy and Operations (GSO) team partners with our global Customers business units to drive revenue growth and increase organizational effectiveness through data-driven insights, solution design and program execution. As a Senior Director in GSO, you will lead a global team of highly impactful Revenue Strategy & Operations Managers (RSOMs) across multiple locations. You will serve as a strategic resource to and work very closely with Customers leadership to identify and implement revenue, process, and technology improvements that drive success for our stakeholders.
You are able to think “big picture” to set strategic direction but are also willing to roll up your sleeves to build analytical frameworks and solutions that directly support sales growth and salesforce efficiency. You are results oriented, have excellent attention to detail, are capable of being an inspiring leader within Twitter, and enjoy collaborating closely with stakeholders to tackle their most pressing issues.
Job details:
Manage a Global Strategy & Operations team with a diverse set of responsibilities, including channel, regional, local strategy, planning, Sales Operations & insights
Lead a global, large and diverse team of Strategy & Operations Managers driving strategy, planning, insights & sales enablement for our customer facing teams
Partner with leaders across Finance, HR, Ads Product, Content Partnerships, Developer Platform and other teams to find opportunities to grow revenue, improve efficiency, and scale our business effectively
Define and implement a strategy for the team that supports the most important needs of the Customers organization, and creates strong career development opportunities for team members
Present strategic insights and recommendations to senior management and partners in the Sales, Finance, Revenue, Marketing, and Support organizations critical to maintaining or developing long-term relationships with Twitter customers
Partner closely with IT, Engineering and other stakeholders to drive short- and long-term strategy for internal tooling capabilities; manage relationships and drive discussions with external partners/vendors in support of that strategy
Represent Customers org in Twitter-wide processes/operations that impact all Twitter functions (“how we work”, cross-functional projects, etc.)
Frame and break down complex business problems into key components, design analysis to drive insights and answers to critical questions, and recommend practical solutions to get results
Collect & analyze data, information, and research (e.g., market data, competitive analysis, advertiser/consumer research, etc.) through quantitative and qualitative mechanisms to make decisions on critical strategic issues
Stay on top of market trends and changes in the competitive landscape, and share appropriate insights with the team
Drive implementation of significant short- and long-term efforts that directly impact overall growth and profitability of Twitter
Will require commitments to US (60%), Europe (20%), Asia (20%) time zones.
Qualifications:
15+ years of demonstrated career progression and strong performance in the Internet, Social Media, Finance or Strategy Consulting industries
8+ years of experience leading an operations organization; ability to attract, develop, retain and motivate top talent
Familiarity with popular digital advertising platforms, CPC/E/M/A campaigns, and measuring return on investment
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and effectively deliver executive level presentations
Exposure to a variety of sales processes and ability to identify pros/cons of different approaches based on Sales stakeholder needs
Experience in scaling business intelligence tooling based on relational databases (Access, SQL, BigQuery)
Experience driving large, cross-functional projects / deployments in partnership with Sales, IT, Engineering, Finance and other stakeholders
Expertise in CRM Systems (e.g., SFDC) and related third-party tools
Experience with software development processes and ability to engage effectively with Engineering stakeholders
BA/BS degree or equivalent with specialization in engineering, finance, business, mathematics or related field of study
Bonus: MBA/advanced degree and/or Strategy Consulting experience
