Job Description
Twitter’s Strategic Sourcing team is looking for a Sourcing Manager who will be responsible for our Finance, Legal, and People team categories! We’re in need of someone who can blend sourcing expertise with relationship development to drive Sourcing’s effectiveness for their stakeholder teams. You embrace leadership, you’re detail-oriented, ambitious, and are always on the lookout for business and process improvement. The position will report to the Director of Global Strategic Sourcing.
What You’ll Do
Sourcing:
- Lead Finance, Legal, and People sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations, and contract review & execution
- Develop and continuously refine a category strategy summarizing everything from sub-category cost modeling, spend analysis to identifying areas of opportunity, supplier landscape overview, and emerging trends.
- Manage business reviews with preferred vendors and audit performance to ensure our internal partners are getting the biggest bang for their buck!
- Take ownership of spend management projects that accomplish key objectives. Those objectives may include annual savings targets, process effectiveness, supplier consolidation & management, risk reduction & management, improved visibility & control of expenditures
- Identify objectives from your partners for RFx activities and assist in the development of award scenarios and recommendations for stakeholder evaluation, consideration and decision-making
- Able to develop presentations for internal stakeholder communications/updates with guidance
- Perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply-market research and conduct pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost and process improvements
- Leverage industry experts, associations, peers and stakeholders to identify and benchmark best practices
Business Partnership:
- Collaborate as needed with each and every person in the organization in a personable, approachable manner
- Foster relationships with internal customers (People/Legal/Finance/Privacy/Information Security) by demonstrating category knowledge, facilitating accurate and favorable transactions, and leading ongoing supplier management and accountability to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate to build best spend management practices and category trends
- Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to your business teams and as appropriate, actively enlist their support
- Communicate with stakeholders, coworkers and management in a clear, concise and timely manner
- Maintain a high level of ‘Customer Focus’ attitude
Qualifications
Who You Are:
- You have a passion for sourcing and have deep knowledge of all facets of G&A services;
- You can translate the business value of a creative idea with rigorous analytics and detail
- You have strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
- You are bold and believe in influencing outcomes and can articulate the value proposition, no matter the size of the deal.
- You can review and delegate high volumes of contracts and can pivot in real time to the strategic conversations.
- You are a team player and are open to extending yourself to support all elements of G&A as needed
- You ensure you are up to date on the latest trends and build your category expertise.
- Your data driven approach drives creative problem solving, proposal preparation, and negotiation
- You are a people person and can meet the in real time needs of Twitter’s G&A strategy
Requirements:
- 7-10 years experience in strategic sourcing with a focus on G&A preferred.
- Strong Excel and Google Suite skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred with Finance, Supply Chain, or analytical focus preferred.
- Attitude is everything! Above all else you have curiosity and a willingness to learn, a drive to see projects over the finish line, a superior customer service focus, and you thrive on working to eliminate ambiguity and drive understanding.
- Project management and delivery experience is a definite advantage. We have lofty goals for 2022 and we need someone ready to dig in with us.
- You have a passion for people and an empathetic mindset; you can place yourself in someone else’s shoes, seek to understand their experience, and work to enhance it.
- You enjoy having a role where the lines move, the workload and priorities shift, and you have exposure to multi-faceted and diverse problems that need your solutions focus (probably with a deadline of yesterday!).
- Attention to detail and experience in reviewing contracts is a must. Experience negotiating SaaS and Professional Services contracts is strongly preferred.

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$114,000.00 - USD$149,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
