Design Twitter’s new customer experience
We strive to be great hosts to our new customers and help them discover the value of Twitter, starting from the first Tweet they encounter in the news, sent by a friend, or seen in one of our apps. We build deep understanding and empathy of our customers, why they came to Twitter and their journey from sign up to keeping up with their interests on the daily. We are looking for a senior designer to help create experiences that demonstrate Twitter’s value and keep these customers coming back. You’ll be joining a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists. We continuously gather insights from qualitative research, experiments, and analysis to iterate on our roadmap and build better products to help customers reach their Twitter “aha” moment.
Bring Twitter’s future into the present
Rapidly design, prototype, and develop elegant solutions focused on helping customers understand the value of Twitter.
Gather insights from data and qualitative research, develop hypotheses, sketch solutions with prototypes, and test ideas with our research team and in experiments.
Think about universal designs that can scale not just across platforms but also internationally and across user types.
Document detailed interaction models and UI specifications.
Collaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across the features on Twitter’s apps and website.
Evangelize best UI practices to other designers, engineers, and product managers.
Mentor other designers.
You’re a designer who runs at hard problems
Twitter is famously hard for new customers to use. You’re going to fix that. We are looking for a Product Designer to join our design team, focused on Twitter’s New Customer and Retention efforts. Do you incorporate data and research into your design process? Are you passionate about shipping experiments, learning, and iterating quickly? Love using Twitter? Come help us share that love with millions of people. As a member of the Twitter Design team, you’ll work closely with other designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to strategize and identify areas for Twitter’s growth.
You have proven skills and impact
6+ years experience designing and building products for mobile and desktop experiences
Experience iterating on design with experimentation (e.g. A/B testing)
Demonstrate ability to define strong hypotheses and incorporate data into your design process
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for identifying and solving customer problems
Comfort in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
Skilled with Figma (or Sketch) and prototyping tools such as Framer, Principle
