Job Description

Overview:

The Localisation Coordinator will support every stage of the localisation process within the APAC timezone. Overseeing translators, editors, designers, developers and proofreaders to keep requests and projects on track and on budget. Partnering with Localisation Project Manager to prioritize projects, continuously improve the asset library and localisation processes with internal and external partners. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Localisation Project Manager to identify priority items to localize.
  • Preparing glossaries and briefs for the translators
  • Responsible for overseeing and project managing localisation vendors and proofreaders to ensure we deliver on time and on budget.
  • Implement internal processes regarding onboarding, localisation processes and management, proofreading and use tools efficiently to save on admin tasks. 
  • Conduct translation reviews and audits, eliciting feedback and taking steps to rectify any bad or poor translations. 
  • Maintain localisation quality control and work with internal teams to drive high quality output from localisation vendors across all languages. Ensuring they keep on top of our product knowledge and strategies.
  • Execute on the agreed localization budget for your projects managing delivery time and quality.  
  • Acting as the go-to contact for advice concerning company standards and processes, within the context of localization. 
  • Work with official internal proofreaders and provide them with training and tools so they can save time supporting Marketing, pes, sales and ops.
  • Build and maintain a network within the company to stay informed of developments relevant to the Marketing Strategy and products. 
  • Maintain Translation Memory and content glossaries as required.
  • Actively progress in personal development.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge / Experience:

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of CRM systems

Desirable

  • Familiarity with technology products in the Education environment considered a plus 
  • Experience managing translation projects for Bahasa Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese or Malay.
  • Ability to develop processes and document them in an easily understandable and consumable format
  • Ability to develop and deliver training
