Job Description
Global Payroll manager
This role will have ownership and responsibility for the global payroll function at TII.
Turnitin operates in 14 different countries, using ADP Workforce and Bamboo HR as the main ERP systems.
This is a newly created position to streamline the entire process system, and this role will be given the autonomy to create new processes as they see fit.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage the global payroll process in multiple countries to ensure compliance with international rules, regulations and laws for multiple entities and pay cycle following the pay cycle schedule
- Reviewing ADP generated journal entries and posting of journals into NetSuite
- Posting necessary accruals for month/year end
- Ability to create reports in ADP
- Developing payroll team cross country
- Responding to employee queries
- Assist in preparation of payroll reconciliations
- Managing responses to tax agencies and ensuring compliance
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders; HR, Finance, and managers to ensure payroll data is accurate and up to date
- Other projects as required
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 3+ years of direct people management
- Proven experience of owning a global payroll cycle from start to finish in a fast paced, high growth organisation.
- 5+ years of accounting experience including posting journals and performing reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Netsuite and Concur experience preferred
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Experience of adopting a strategic view of payroll with aim to enhance the employee experience
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors and stakeholders
