Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – Procurement Audit to lead procurement audit, governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives across the organization. The role will be responsible for evaluating procurement processes, identifying control gaps, ensuring policy compliance, mitigating commercial risks, and driving process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and transparency.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in procurement operations, contract management, supplier governance, internal controls, spend analysis, and audit frameworks, preferably within Construction, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Data Centers, Manufacturing, EPC, or Consulting environments.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Audit & Compliance

  • Lead end-to-end procurement audits across projects, corporate functions, and business units.
  • Review procurement transactions to ensure adherence to organizational policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluate procurement controls, approval matrices, delegation authorities, and compliance frameworks.
  • Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and areas of potential financial leakage.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Risk Assessment & Governance

  • Conduct periodic procurement risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Review procurement practices for fraud risks, conflict of interest, and unethical sourcing activities.
  • Establish audit plans based on risk prioritization and business requirements.
  • Drive procurement governance initiatives and strengthen internal control mechanisms.

Contract & Commercial Audit

  • Audit contracts, purchase orders, and vendor agreements for compliance with approved commercial terms.
  • Verify adherence to procurement cycles, tendering processes, and competitive bidding requirements.
  • Assess contract deviations, variation orders, and commercial approvals.
  • Review supplier claims, price escalations, and procurement spend against approved budgets.

Supplier & Vendor Audit

  • Evaluate supplier selection and onboarding processes.
  • Conduct vendor compliance reviews and performance audits.
  • Assess vendor concentration risks and opportunities for supplier optimization.
  • Review vendor documentation, certifications, and contractual compliance.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze procurement spend data and identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Generate audit reports highlighting findings, observations, risks, and recommendations.
  • Present audit findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Track closure of audit observations and corrective actions.

Process Improvement

  • Recommend and implement best practices to improve procurement efficiency and transparency.
  • Drive automation and digitization initiatives within procurement audit processes.
  • Support process standardization across business units and projects.
  • Benchmark procurement practices against industry standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Commercial, Legal, and Project teams.
  • Guide procurement teams on policy adherence and corrective actions.
  • Conduct audit awareness sessions and training programs for stakeholders.
  • Support external, statutory, and internal audits as required.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience in Procurement, Commercial Management, Internal Audit, or Procurement Governance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience handling procurement audits and compliance reviews.
  • Experience in Construction, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Data Centers, EPC, Manufacturing, or Consulting organizations preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing large procurement spends and audit programs.
