Job Description

Role within the Project:

Responsible for setting up EHS for the project. Monitor EHS on daily basis. Review of the document and submit regular reports to the client and internal team.

Main job purpose :

  • Setting up project EHS requirement and success for safety
  • Lead  EHS team during site audits and ensure observations are noted, corrective actions are taken by
  • contractors
  • Establish and monitor underlining safety parameters for construction activities for the project and imposing the
  • same on the appointed Design Team, contractors and the likes.
  • To ensure the contractor is complying with T&T or client Safety Standard.
  • Conduct a comprehensive safety audit regularly and report the same every week
  • Have adequate safety supervision in place to ensure that safety program set up by the firms/agencies are in compliance with prevalent laws and regulations.
  • Review safety programs developed by each of the trade firms, prepare and submit a comprehensive safety program.
  • Monitor day to day implementation of safety procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Review of Project Safety Plan
  • Good Communicator
  • Knowledge of recent safety trends
  • Must have managed a project of 50K Sft + as safety lead
  • Must have worked in base build or industrial projects

Qualifications

  • Functionally reports to the Project Manager/ Senior project Manager
  • Relevant degree and professional qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an HSE practitioner within the same or related sector
  • Minimum NEBOSH IGC qualification
  • IOSH membership or similar association
  • Proficient with all Microsoft office applications
  • Prominent communication skill
  • Leadership skills
