Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Document Controller with experience in construction project environments, ideally within data center developments, to join our team in Santiago, Chile. This role is critical for ensuring full control, traceability, and compliance of all project documentation throughout the entire construction lifecycle in a highly technical and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and oversee a robust document control system tailored to data center construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking, version control, and approval workflows across multidisciplinary teams (engineering, construction, QA/QC, HSE, commissioning, and client stakeholders).
Manage and centralize all project documentation across all phases:
pre‑construction, construction, commissioning, and final handover.Coordinate, compile, and validate all required documentation for project closeout, ensuring full compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for mission‑critical infrastructure.
Structure, maintain, and audit project folders, document matrices, and correspondence logs (RFIs, submittals, as‑built drawings, IFC drawings, technical reports, permits, and compliance records).
Develop, update, and enforce Document Control Guidelines and Procedures aligned with company policies and construction standards specific to data center projects.
Operate, administer, and enhance the company’s Document Management System (DMS) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability for large‑scale technical projects.
Support internal teams and contractors in applying document control standards, including file naming conventions, templates, revision procedures, and workflow adoption.
Monitor document flow, provide regular status reports, and flag overdue or pending deliverables to maintain project continuity and avoid bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Strong technical and organizational skills are essential.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and documentation processes for technology infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Experience, ability and willingness to work with multiple software platforms and document management tools including bespoke client platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Aconex, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and behaviours for teamwork, collaboration and accountability with multiple stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams across borders
- Bilingual - fluency in English and Spanish is a requirement
