Role Overview

The Construction Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising all construction activities from site mobilization through project completion. This role ensures that all work is executed in compliance with design intent, quality standards, local code and market practice, safety regulations, and project timelines. The Construction Manager acts as the primary site leader representing the company, working closely with contractors, consultants, authorities, and internal project stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes for mission critical and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead day‑to‑day construction operations to ensure alignment with IFC drawings, project plans, specifications, and company standards.
  • Manage site-wide coordination across civil, architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist contractors.
  • Monitor contractor performance, manpower allocation, equipment availability, and overall construction readiness.
  • Identify construction risks, clashes, and delays early and drive timely resolutions with contractors and consultants.
  • Oversee site logistics planning, including access control, laydown areas, traffic routes, and material handling.
  • Ensure internal company processes, documentation protocols, and quality requirements are adhered to.
  • Where applicable, work with the Project Manager on daily site execution, including utilities installation, safety sign-offs, and scope change management.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and conduct regular joint inspections, safety walks, and toolbox engagements with EHS teams.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with GC, subcontractors, consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support QS/Contracts in reviewing variations, claims, progress payments, and milestones.
  • Represent company in project reviews, authority engagements, and client-facing coordination meetings.

Project Coordination & Interface Management

  • Coordinate all project activities with design consultants, QS, commissioning agents, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
  • Monitor the overall project schedule and develop/track a micro construction lookahead schedules aligned with the master program.
  • Conduct regular site coordination meetings with GC, subcontractors, and consultants to track progress and resolve interface issues.
  • Collaborate closely (where applicable) with the Project Manager, Design Manager, and MEP Manager to ensure smooth multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Support procurement tracking, delivery planning, long‑lead item coordination, and site readiness for installation.
  • Review and endorse method statements, shop drawings, ITPs, and construction procedures before execution.
  • Maintain clear communication channels and provide consistent reporting of issues, risks, and decision needs to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with quality requirements through inspections, surveillance, and coordinated QA/QC activities.
  • Review IRs, RFIs, NCRs, and test reports to ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor workmanship standards across civil, architectural, structural, and MEP installations.
  • Ensure timely submission and approval of as‑built drawings, test certificates, and final close‑out documentation.

Construction Supervision & Quality Control

  • Supervise and verify contractor construction works to ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and project standards.
  • Monitor site progress daily and drive resolution of delays or bottlenecks through coordinated actions with consultants and contractors.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and ensure quality issues identified through IRs, RFIs, NCRs, and site reports are resolved.
  • Track statutory submissions, regulatory inspections, and authority approvals across all relevant disciplines.
  • Coordinate FAT, SAT, pre‑functional testing, and IST activities with commissioning agents and system vendors.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of as‑built documentation, O&M manuals, training deliverables, and commissioning close‑out materials.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly construction progress reports covering work status, risks, mitigation plans, manpower, and site productivity.
  • Ensure full governance compliance regarding site records, permits, inspections, and documentation control.
  • Monitor construction KPIs and ensure delivery aligned with project deadlines, budget constraints, and quality objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of construction experience, including 3–5 years in PMC or client-side roles.
  • Strong background in data centers, industrial facilities, or mission‑critical construction.
  • Solid understanding of structural, architectural, and MEP construction workflows.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proven experience in managing contractors, resolving site conflicts, and coordinating multidisciplinary works.
  • Familiarity with international standards, Thai building codes, safety regulations, and authority procedures.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Fluent in Thai and English.
