Job Description
The Associate Director / Project Director role will serve as the Health Sector Lead in T&T New Zealand. The role will be leading major Health projects across NZ, the responsibilities are as follows:
- Be the primary interface with project management clients.
- Provide leadership to the team leaders within project management and provide leadership and mentoring to the project management team.
- Ensure all key staff members within the project management teams have current and relevant training.
- Manage the delivery of project management team outputs in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards.
- Co-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by the project management teams prior to issue.
- To ‘win’ clients through strong business development skills.
- Management of tender documents, appraisals and negotiations.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
- Comply with the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s Business Management Systems including Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management associated with the role and position within the company.
Qualifications
- 15+ years construction delivery experience, Health sector experience would be preferred.
- Ideally with experience in project delivery in New Zealand.
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline
- People management experience, particularly in the context of managing a project management team delivering a project.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
