Job Description

With a strong pipeline of work and a global reputation for excellence, we're expanding our Health Project Management team in Auckland and Northland.

We're looking for Project Managers with strong Health sector experience to deliver construction projects from conception through to completion. Our current health portfolio includes a number of key health projects and various stages of the project lifecycle, primarily focused on the delivery of public hospitals.

You will work in a client-facing role where your ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and drive outcomes will be your key to success. You will support the continued growth of Turner & Townsend and making the difference to both our business and the New Zealand construction sector.

Your role will include:

  • Leading and delivering projects throughout the project lifecycle including planning, design, procurement, construction, and close out.
  • Supporting commissioning and operational readiness planning to ensure seamless transition from construction to clinical operations
  • Applying your health sector knowledge and experiences to safeguard the delivery of the health sector projects you work on.
  • Supporting client engagement with professionalism, transparency, and care.
  • Managing complex stakeholder environments and navigating change management processes within health settings
  • Driving service excellent through communication and reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Driving positive outcomes across a range of construction environments.

 

Qualifications

We're looking for Project Managers who thrive in complex construction environments - professionals who don't just deliver projects but shape them from the outset. You are someone who builds trust quickly and communicates with clarity. Your ability to turn opportunities into successful, well-run engagements is just as important as your technical expertise.

To be successful in your application, you'll need to have the following:

  • Current, valid working rights for Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • At least 4 years of experience in managing and delivering medium to large-scale health sector / hospital projects in Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • Tertiary qualification in construction management, project management, engineering, architecture, or other similar fields.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and lifecycle stages.
