The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with extensive knowledge of construction scheduling, project management, and healthcare construction practices, able to manage complex, high-profile projects with multiple stakeholders.

You will work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and other construction professionals to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of healthcare facility expansions while maintaining strict adherence to budget, quality standards, and client specifications.

This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile healthcare projects that impact communities and improve patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules for the expansion of healthcare facilities, including milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations. Ensure alignment with project scope and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers, to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize project timelines.
  • Track and report project progress, flagging potential delays or issues. Provide timely and accurate updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of project risks, delays, and bottlenecks. Recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track, particularly with respect to critical timelines for healthcare facility operations and patient care.
  • Monitor resource utilization and staffing levels to ensure efficient project delivery. Address any discrepancies between actual and planned resource requirements.
  • Ensure all scheduling activities adhere to safety standards, construction codes, and regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on healthcare facilities' unique regulatory environment.
  • Assess the impact of design changes, scope adjustments, and unforeseen events on project schedules. Update schedules and adjust resources as needed while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related matters with the client. Ensure client expectations are met and that any scheduling issues are resolved promptly.
  • Work with the project team to identify potential risks to the schedule, including environmental, regulatory, or operational constraints specific to healthcare facility expansions. Develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain all schedule-related documentation, including Gantt charts, critical path analysis, and progress reports. Provide regular reports on project status, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure the construction schedule aligns with the quality expectations and ensures minimal disruption to the ongoing operations of the healthcare facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in construction scheduling, with at least 3-5 years of experience managing complex healthcare facility expansion projects.
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.

  • Proficiency in schedule analysis and delay analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with building codes, construction regulations, and healthcare facility-specific standards (e.g., HIPAA, ADA compliance).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and client representatives. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for clear reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to foresee project challenges and proactively develop innovative solutions to minimize delays, cost overruns, and operational impacts.
  • Experience working on multi-phased healthcare facility expansions or new builds.
  • Familiarity with lean construction principles or integrated project delivery (IPD) methods.
