Job Description

Our Program Advisory business, set up in 2018, offers services to clients in the strategy, set-up and transition and transformation of their capability to deliver major programs and projects both in the US and globally, with a market leading client base across all sectors.  Our key differentiator is that we offer practical, accessible advice informed and underpinned by broad technical delivery capability and industry experience of our core business.

Our success is driving the expansion of our US team, as such, we are seeking to recruit a strategic and experienced Senior Contracts & Claims Manager. 

  • Analyze and review the Client’s end-to-end contract process and procedures, (including procurement operations, contract execution and invoice review) in
  • Critique anomalies within and between contracts, such as reimbursement, commercials and clarity in scope and deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholders including sourcing, legal and project teams to develop solutions and new operating/contract standards.
  • Create value stream mapping to quantify pain points and develop solutions to minimize waste (both in terms of speed and cost).
  • Devise improved operating procedures and best practices for wider use in the client organization to reduce turnaround times, amendments and queries.
  • Aligns recommendations to the respective needs of each project, delivery type, contract models and phase of contract negotiation.
  • Collaborate on the supplier performance management program including the collection of performance metrics and tracking of supplier improvement action plans.

Qualifications

  • 8+ year’s relevant experience within the construction industry.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field, Postgraduate study is a bonus.
  • Experience working on manufacturing, industrial, or civil infrastructure focused projects.
  • In-depth understanding of construction contracts, commercials models and delivery methods.
  • Proficient in process mapping, root causes analysis, problem solving, and value-stream mapping.
  • Highly self-motivated, analytical, and customer centric. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including great communication.
  • Ability to demonstrate collaborative behaviors.
  • Organized and thorough individual.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $95,000-$175,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
