Job Description
Every role at Trove Brands is critical to our successful functioning as a whole. Your specific responsibilities as an Industrial Designer at Trove Brands will include:
- Collaborate with industrial design director and other members of the product team to set the vision and style of new hard good products and initiatives.
- Creative and adaptive problems solving skills that are communicated by visualizing concepts and mechanical solutions to various team members and departments.
- Apply fundamental ergonomics relative to the product. Evaluate concepts for comfort and usability through models and prototypes.
- 3D CAD models of intended design directions for the creation of prototypes and/or to communicate design intent to product development teams.
- Adapt to the changing pace and scope of projects.
Qualifications
We seek team members who are adept at contributing their personal expertise to a collaborative work environment. For this on site, in-house position, we’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Degree in Industrial Design (B.F.A. or B.S.)
- An industrial design portfolio that demonstrates your design, storytelling and problem-solving skills (portfolio or portfolio link must be submitted with your resume)
- · Strong ideation and visualization skills
- · Excellent communication skills and comfortable discussing concept design and the design process.
- · Experience designing plastic parts for all types of plastic molding processes.
- · Effective working both independently and collaborating in a team environment.
- · Proficient in Solidworks, Keyshot, Illustrator and Photoshop (Adobe Suite)
- · Intermediate level capabilities with MS Office Suite software
- Packaging experience is a plus
- Required to work in our Utah office
