The role of the incumbent will be to ensure the configuration, optimal utilization, the planning of Commissary products, and other business systems related to the supply chain. He will be able to understand and advise the processing and use of systems, manage and implement change requests and provide support to end users
The specialist, systems administrator of supply chain will have to bring and promote team dynamics and collaborate with the business units of Air Transat and Transat A.T.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, document, and initiate, when required, configuration changes within systems related to the product category, while coordinating all necessary approvals with the applicable teams;
- Act as the primary liaison between Supply Chain, In-Flight Services, Catering, and Information Technology teams to ensure system updates and optimizations resulting from product or service changes;
- Provide first-level support to internal and external clients and coordinate related change management activities;
- Maintain service plans and configure meal types in collaboration with the catering team;
- Execute and document comprehensive user acceptance testing (UAT) for all impacted systems when changes or new system releases are implemented;
- Analyze, review, and update product planning ratios in SAP (MM Module) on a monthly basis, while recommending bill of materials (BOM) adjustments to optimize inventory levels;
- Coordinate the rollout of seasonal programs (May and November) with cross-functional teams and monitor performance through appropriate reporting;
- Evaluate, analyze, and document existing procedures to improve current processes or develop new ones, including the preparation of user guides as required;
- Deliver user training and ongoing support to promote effective system adoption and optimal utilization.
Qualifications
- University diploma in supply chain program or in administration or another relevant related diploma;
- Minimum of five (5) years of supply chain management experience;
- Have good analytical and synthesis skills;
- Autonomous, organized, proactive – strong attention to details and data quality and integrity;
- Demonstrate a good team spirit;
- Knowledge of Microsoft reporting tools (Report Builder, power pivot, Excel graphics), an asset;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software; specially Advanced Excel level;
- Knowledge of SAP/module MM, or other ERP system;
- Occasionally, the specialist must be available on call on evenings and weekends (for the treatment of urgent problems);
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *
*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
