Job Description
Under the supervision of the Director, Inventory Optimization, you will be responsible for optimizing revenue across a portfolio of routes. You will leverage data-driven analysis, market intelligence, and system tools to manage seat inventory and integrate air + package strategies to maximize total revenue. This role is essential to achieving key performance targets such as Revenue per Available Seat Mile (RASM), load factor, and yield.
Responsibilities:
- Route and package revenue optimization: Manage a portfolio of routes by applying strategic levers and market analysis to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Forecasting and analysis: Monitor booking trends, demand forecasts, and competitive dynamics; identify revenue opportunities and mitigate risks across both air and package products.
- Systems management: Calibrate and validate inputs and outputs of revenue management systems to ensure reliable forecasts aligned with market conditions; adjust availability controls based on demand signals.
- Performance monitoring: Track and analyze key metrics such as RASM, load factor, and yield; adjust strategies based on performance insights.
- Customer behavior analysis: Develop a deep understanding of booking patterns, price sensitivity, and channel behavior to inform pricing and inventory strategies across air and package offerings.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with RMS, Pricing, and internal stakeholders to ensure aligned and cohesive strategies.
- Package strategy integration: Collaborate with Tour Operator teams to optimize package pricing, inventory allotments, and channel mix; balance standalone air demand with package demand to maximize revenue.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of an airline revenue management system such as PROS (an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and decision-support tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Ability to work effectively in a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong adaptability and responsiveness in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- *Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally
