Job Description

In collaboration with the Chief, Public Relations, the specialist contributes to the implementation of the company’s public relations and influencer marketing strategy to elevate the Air Transat and Transat brands.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the public relations and influencer marketing strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Contribute to the planning and optimization of the editorial calendar for Air Transat and Transat.
• Coordinate and execute media relations initiatives: media list management, press release distribution, interview coordination.
• Draft media materials, including press releases and media communications.
• Monitor industry trends and current events to support timely and relevant communications.
• Implement influencer marketing campaigns, including creator research, brief development, contract coordination and results tracking.
• Support promotional initiatives such as event activations, media coverage and product launches.
• Produce and share weekly and monthly performance reports aligned with key success indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications

• University degree in communications, marketing, or any combination of training and experience considered equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, communications or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian media and the creator/content ecosystem.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt content to various audiences.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, sound judgment and ability to work collaboratively.
• Competence in time management and handling urgent priorities.
• Knowledge of the travel industry (an asset).
Oral and written fluency in French and English*
A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
