Job Description

AMOS software allows Air Transat to manage their maintenance, engineering and logistics needs and to assure their compliance with complex aviation regulations. AMOS is comparable to the TRAX, Ultramain and IFS systems.

 

Under the direction of the Manager, Technical Training, and working jointly with the Director, Systems Support and Continuous Improvement, the Specialist, AMOS Training and Procedures will provide the Training team with technical leadership and support for the AMOS maintenance management system and work with the Training Programs team to develop, facilitate, and ensure compliance of AMOS training.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate, prepare, and deliver AMOS training programs.
  • Ensure training programs meet both regulatory and corporate requirements and objectives.
  • AMOS training instructor/facilitator.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to configure, populate, maintain, and update AMOS data with regards to Technical Operations training qualifications and certifications, meeting deadlines and project schedules
  • Work closely with the Director, Systems Support and Continuous Improvement to ensure AMOS meets the needs of the Training department, including the integration with Air Transat LMS/QMS systems, as required
  • Create and maintain procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of data/systems/networks
  • Analyze and disseminate data to improve efficiency and training delivery
  • Collaborate on system improvements and configuration changes based on needs
  • Maintain currency on technical operations procedures.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the Manager, Technical Training.

 

Qualifications

  • College diploma in the same field or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in technical operations for an airline.
  • Experience as an instructor, manager or supervisor (an asset).
  • Experience working in a process-driven industry and exposure to regulatory compliance.
  • Strong ability to interpret policies, directives and regulations.
  • Knowledge of standards required for RACs and maintenance requirements.
  • Able to travel occasionally and work a flexible schedule.
  • Knowledge of AMOS (an asset) - Comparable software system TRAX, Ultramain and IFS.
  • Demonstrate leadership in setting goals and deadlines for ongoing projects with various departments.
  • Bilingualism (French/English): excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness.
