The Legal Department plays a key role in helping to propel Tradeshift forward.  We drive customer negotiations and contract formation. We run the company’s global stock options program.  We do handle all corporate and other legal topics, throughout the globe.

Job Description

Role

Tradeshift is looking for a seasoned lawyer with problem solving skills, and an ability to help the company meet its commercial and compliance objectives. The internal lawyer will advise the company on commercial, legal, and regulatory topics, and help the company to make decisions and implement processes to advance the business.  We are looking for someone who works well with others, and is a leader.

What a day is like:

A typical day involves handling a workload primarily focused on drafting, negotiating, advising upon and closing commercial contractual transactions with customers and partners for the licensing of cloud (SaaS) software and the provision of related support and consulting services, as well as complex FinTech offerings.  Other duties involve employment law matters, helping to integrate acquired companies, corporate issues, and vendor contracts. Supporting the company’s global operations, this position offers interesting, varied work with a high level of responsibility and visibility.

Qualifications

You’re perfect for this role if you:

You are a well-organized individual who enjoys exercising initiative and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You also have:

  • 4-8 years experience in a law firm or in-house corporate environment with at least 2 years experience in SaaS agreements 
  • Completed Romanian legal studies and qualified lawyer in Romania
  • Practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment. 
  • SaaS licensing experience, including data protection, security, and collaborative commerce concepts.  
  • Fluent language skills in English, and preferably other European languages
