Job Description
The Town of Stony Plain has a permanent full-time position available for an RCMP Detachment Clerk. Under the supervision of the Municipal Supervisor, this position provides administrative support and services to the general public and Members, which includes the provision for duties within Court Detail, Disclosure Unit, Records, and Front Counter. This role provides immediate assistance to both emergency and non-emergency situations to RCMP members and the public.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a High School Diploma along with a minimum of one (1) year directly related experience. The completion of a related post-secondary certificate as well as knowledge of the RCMP, judicial court and legal systems are considered a definite asset. The incumbent will work in a stressful environment and therefore requires the ability to multi-task and use sound judgment while handling a variety of police situations. Ability and experience in an automated law enforcement environment including PROS, JOIN and CPIC is considered an asset for this position.

This position is based on a 37.5-hour work week and will be required to work variable shifts, including evening and weekends, as per the detachment schedule. The salary range for this position is $54, 914 - $69, 866 per annum, along with an excellent benefits package including the Local Authorities Pension Plan. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Level Security Clearance; a current and active clearance is a definite asset.
