We are looking for a full-time graphic and web designer.  The successful candidate for this position will bolster our core business functions, create data visualizations to support and expand upon editorial content, maintain and redesign the website, and digitally represent the brand to its highest potential. The ideal candidate will leverage diverse digital tools to promote and market content to align with the brand’s reputation as being nimble, innovative, and responsive. As the Web Designer/Producer, you will work with every team in the business: editorial, sales, business development, and INTEL.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the website, monitoring quality and functionality, and suggesting improvements and visual upgrades
• Create data visualizations that enhance and spotlight content
• Design creative material and magazines for publication
• Design visually appealing marketing materials for the growing suite of  subscriptions products
• Identify and quickly resolve issues that impact publishing and may prevent delivering products to our clients in a timely manner
• Assist in developing client solutions and product suites, including podcasts, live events, premium election packages, etc.
• Launch key partnership portal projects and multi-platform products to deliver on our commitments to clients

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in graphic/digital design and/or digital marketing
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and PhotoShop; WordPress, Mailchimp, HTML, Microsoft Office Suite and Mac Office Suite, Google Analytics
• Experience in social media marketing and email marketing, SEO
• Proficiency in both print and digital layout and production, typography
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams is a must
• The flexibility and agility to manage several important projects at once
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and be calm under pressure
• Audio and video editing skills are an asset
• A passion for journalism and knowledge of current events are assets
