Job Description
TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Engineer Benelux.
This is a home-based position covering the Netherlands and the Flemish region of Belgium. Candidates can be located anywhere within the territory, provided they are willing to travel frequently to customer sites.
Main tasks are:
- Perform field service activities including commissioning, start-up, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of TOMRA Recycling systems across Germany and Europe. Occasional assignments in other TOMRA Sorting business units and regions may also be required.
- Prepare detailed and high-quality service reports following each installation, maintenance activity, or technical intervention to ensure knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of service activities, expenses, and other relevant documentation.
- Deliver on-site training to customer maintenance and service teams, as well as internal Service Engineers.
- Provide technical support via phone and respond to customer and equipment-related issues in the field.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Project Management teams by providing technical expertise and support.
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of TOMRA Sorting systems to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Take responsibility for executing field service activities efficiently, with a strong focus on cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Alternatively, a technician certification or equivalent engineering qualification with relevant hands-on experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and customer-friendly manner.
- Professional proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills, particularly Dutch or Flemish, are an asset.
- Proven technical problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities, combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues across different countries, cultures, and business environments.
- Customer-focused mindset with a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Germany, Netherlands and Belgium to support customers on-site ((approximately 80% travel)
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the Netherlands.
