Job Description

Position Overview

Field Service of existing recycling install base and new recycling projects focusing on, but not limited to, the Sydney area. Strong technical, organisational and communication skills mandatory.

  • Field service work (commissioning, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, breakdowns, optimization)
  • External and internal Project coordination work (new projects, upgrades, other service related)
  • Regular travel interstate and overseas

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and optimization of sensor-based sorters in TOMRA’s Recycling install base
  • Provide exceptional field service support to internal and external customers
  • Customer assistance to identify service and spare parts needs
  • Training of customer maintenance and service personnel
  • Close co-ordination with the customer project team from point-of-sale to post-commissioning.
  • Maintain and accurately report on all service and contract work undertaken. Ensure timely delivery of all administrative paperwork.
  • Identify opportunities for potential upgrades and sales including liaising with TOMRA’s Project Management team, Sales team and local Sales Agents and distributors
  • Commitment to continuous improvement by providing feedback and suggestions on quality, efficiency and profitability
  • Act positively and in a customer-oriented way
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships is critical to success in this role
  • Work with sales team to provide solutions for various customer applications

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • An electrical/mechanical based engineering qualification with a strong inclination towards hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical systems, both hardware and software.

  • Excellent hands-on Electrical and Electronics troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanical aptitude required

  • Ability to relate to customers, their views and issues, locally and in other countries and cultures
  • Motivated individual who has a passion for engineering.

Experience

  • >3 years work experience in industrial equipment support role
  • Previous optical sensor sorting experience highly advantageous
  • Experience with recycling industry will be held in high regard
