Job Description

The Preventative Maintenance Trade Assistant will support the Field Service Technician’s in maintaining and repairing TOMRA's reverse vending machine installations to ensure maximum uptime & customer satisfaction. This will be predominantly a field-based role and will focus on carrying out preventative maintenance on TOMRA machines across NSW, whilst also implementing machine upgrades.

Please note this role is offered as an 12 month fixed-term contract. 

As part of the background check process for this role you will be required to submit a driver history report, federal police check and attend a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out scheduled maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime of RVM installations
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance, managing planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns effectively, while ensuring a best practice approach
  • Carrying out regular machine upgrades as required
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting fundamental issues with TOMRA machinery that may be mechanical or electrical in nature
  • Responding to occasional work orders as and when needed
  • Reporting on service assignments and faults
  • Driving for long periods as required and attending to some occasional call-outs outside your area
  • Providing excellent customer service to our partners and to members of the public
  • Undertake cleaning of equipment
  • Priortising safety in all aspects of your work

Qualifications

About you: 

  • Experience servicing and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment
  • Ability to diagnose rudimental machinery issues and carry out necessary repairs
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience interacting face to face with customers
  • A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others
  • Unrestricted driver’s license and willingness to submit a full driving history record
