Job Description
Primary Job Functions:
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental management for TOMRA Food in North America, ensuring risk identification and control improvements.
- Maintain global compliance standards for health, safety, and environment, aligning with TOMRA Food and TOMRA.
- Coordinate internal and external assessment processes, actions, and follow-ups for compliance measurement.
- Engage with government entities and HSE consultants to ensure alignment with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership to track and complete corrective and preventative actions for incidents and audits.
- Communicate HSE requirements to contractors and support risk assessments at TOMRA and customer sites.
- Provide coaching and integrate health, safety, and environmental compliance into the organization's risk management.
- Support emergency management and crisis response, providing regular health and safety performance reports.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong influencing, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex information and summarize effectively.
- Analytical, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Laser Safety Officer and Radiation Safety Officer certifications preferred.
- Advanced occupational health and safety certifications preferred.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in open offices, industrial sites, food processing plants, and cold storage facilities.
Experience:
- 5 years of health, safety, and environment compliance in an industrial setting.
- Experience applying operational excellence in multi-site, multi-state organizations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, sit, kneel, bend, stand, and lift 5-10 lbs.
Supervision:
- Non-supervisory role.
Travel:
- Up to 40% travel required.
Driving:
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions in residency country.

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $85,848 - $128,772 USD annually.
