Job Description
Reporting to the PMO Manager, as the PMO Analyst, you will be an integral part of our brilliant PMO Team, who govern and enable the successful and efficient delivery of our change portfolio, from large, complex projects/programmes to more incremental product enhancements.
If you are ambitious... this role is for given a clear career path to becoming a Senior PMO. You will play a pivotal role in enforcing, and evolving, our change delivery framework and will need to build effective working relationships with both Change and Business colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring our deliverables are always valuable, insightful and meet our stakeholders’ high quality standards.
Further to supporting the development of our Change Delivery Framework you will join us during a time of Tech Transformation and exciting AI implementation programmes.
Duties include:
- Take ownership for the management and delivery of one or more core PMO services
- Execute and deliver core PMO services – often in parallel - in a controlled manner, ensuring they are delivered consistently to the highest standards and aligned to commitments made.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the Change, Group Technology Services and wider Business to embed and evolve our Change Delivery Framework and its underpinning change governance, control, process and risk management models.
- Ensure key Change portfolio artefacts, tools and/or knowledge repositories are regularly reviewed and refreshed/re-purposed etc
Qualifications
Whilst you will have day to day support from the PMO Manager and our Analyst and Coordinators, you will be expected to own, shape and architect work. Previous PMO experience is essential. We have a work at pace/ fail fast and learn environment. We celebrate learning even if that learning comes out of failure! and we need someone who thrives in that type of fast paced environment.
We don't expect you to have all of the following skills and experience! but if you recognise a good combination within your own experience, we really welcome your application:
- proven experience as a PMO Analyst / Co-ordinator
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to multitask.
- Self-motivated and logical thinker, not afraid to challenge the norm and apply a ‘test and learn’ approach to evolve and enhance processes and/or core deliverables.
- Technically proficient with portfolio management and collaboration tools, with expertise in the Microsoft suite of applications advantageous (i.e. Azure DevOps, Sharepoint, MS Office Suite, in particular M365, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, MS Teams etc)
- Innate ability to manage multiple demands in a dynamic, challenging environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and transform that into actionable insights
- Excellent team player who embraces an inclusive ‘one team’ approach to work, regularly demonstrating passion and drive for continuous improvement and professional self-development.
- Collaborative and inclusive approach to Stakeholder and relationship management.
- Positive and pro-active mind-set, someone who colleagues always enjoy working with.
- Coaching and mentoring skills, and ability to install and support a continuous learning culture.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to diversify approach according to the target audience.
