About the role

A Senior Technical Lead – SDET is responsible for driving end-to-end quality engineering, test strategy, and delivery excellence for complex software systems. This role combines test leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring that products meet high quality, reliability, and performance standards.

The role expects strong technical depth, owning test planning, execution, automation strategy, and continuous improvement, while proactively collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and customers.

 

With us you will be responsible for

  • Define and drive test strategy, test approach, and quality assurance processes for multiple products
  • Lead test planning, estimation, scheduling, and execution across system testing, UAT, and releases
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage using risk-based and data-driven testing approaches
  • Own test artifacts including test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports

Quality Engineering & Automation

  • Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks and solutions
  • Drive AI-first and automation-first approach across UI, API, and performance testing
  • Guide team in test design, reusable assets, and best engineering practices
  • Continuously improve test efficiency, coverage, and defect detection capability

Stakeholder Collaboration & Customer Focus

  • Collaborate proactively with product owners, developers, architects, and customers
  • Provide clear communication on quality status, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Understand customer business needs and propose effective testing approaches
  • Support pre-sales activities by contributing to solutioning and test strategy proposals for PRF’s.

 

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and SDETs
  • Guide team members in automation and manual testing practices
  • Build capability through coaching, knowledge sharing, and continuous feedback
  • Ensure effective team organization, planning, and delivery ownership

Defect Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze defects and guide teams in root cause analysis and prevention strategies
  • Provide actionable feedback to development teams to improve product quality
  • Drive process improvements and best practices in line with Agile and DevOps models
  • Support reproduction and analysis of complex/rare defects

We expect you to have

  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in software testing / quality engineering
  • At least 3–5 years of experience as Test Lead / Test Manager
  • Proven experience in test design, execution, stakeholder collaboration, and team leadership
  • Strong ability to handle complex systems, demanding scenarios, and multi-team coordination
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Automation Testing and QA processes
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • UI Automation: Selenium / Playwright with C#
    • Automation Framework Development
    • API Testing using C# or relevant frameworks
    • Performance Testing using JMeter
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Strong database knowledge (SQL Server or equivalent)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing
