Python Developer – Banking Domain with ML/AI Expertise

Location: Poland (Tricity / Warsaw / Łódź - 3 days in the office)
Seniority: Mid / Senior

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong banking domain knowledge and hands-on experience in machine learning / AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and tools using Python.
  • Develop data pipelines for ML/AI models, including feature engineering & preprocessing.
  • Collaborate with data scientists on deploying ML/AI models into production.
  • Integrate with banking systems, payment platforms, and financial messaging
  • Build secure, high-performance APIs and microservices.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, security, and data governance standards.
  • Optimize existing services for scalability and performance.
  • Write clean, testable, well‑documented code.
  • Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and troubleshooting.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong Python proficiency (Flask, FastAPI, Django or similar).
  • Solid experience in banking or financial services (payments, transaction flows, AML/FCP use cases, or similar).
  • Understanding of Swift MT/MX, SEPA, ISO20022, or financial messaging frameworks.
  • Experience with ML/AI pipelines, model serving, and MLOps concepts.
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tooling, and test automation.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with data governance, model risk management, or AI compliance.
  • Background in event‑driven architectures or streaming platforms.
