Job Description

What You'll Do:

The SAM is an experienced practitioner within the Generation in-house agency, responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of multi-channel projects and building reliable, trusted relationships with day-to-day client contacts. The role operates independently within clearly defined workstreams, acts as a quality checkpoint between client and creative team, and begins to support the development of more junior members of the account management function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Manages the end-to-end workflow of assigned multi-channel projects, building timing plans, tracking dependencies and keeping all workstreams moving on time, on brief and on budget. Resolves day-to-day delivery issues independently without needing to escalate.

  • Client Relationship Management: Manages day-to-day relationships with client contacts at a mid-level, building genuine trust through reliable communication, proactive problem identification and consistent delivery. Develops the confidence to manage client conversations with clarity and credibility.

  • Brief Stewardship: Receives briefs from stakeholders and stress-tests them before they reach the creative team. Sharpens objectives, resolves ambiguity and ensures every brief entering the agency is creatively actionable and commercially grounded.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Acts as the central coordination point across creative, production, strategy and project management on assigned projects. Ensures all disciplines have the information they need and that nothing falls through the gaps between teams.

  • Problem Identification: Spots delivery risks and client issues early, bringing context and a proposed solution to the SAD’s or account lead. Develops the instinct to manage upward proactively rather than waiting to be asked.

  • Junior Team Support: Provides day-to-day support and guidance to AM’s and JAM’s on shared projects. Reviews work, shares process knowledge and helps build good habits within the team.

  • Reporting and Status Management: Produces accurate, well-structured status updates, meeting notes and project reports. Keeps clients and internal teams consistently informed and builds a reputation for reliability through clear, timely communication.

Role Scope and Impact:

  • Experienced practitioner role with end-to-end accountability for defined multi-channel project delivery.

  • Operates independently within clearly defined workstreams, making day-to-day decisions without close supervision.

  • Manages relationships with mid-level client contacts across assigned brand teams.

  • Provides day-to-day guidance to AM’s and JAM on shared accounts.

  • Works under the direction of the SAD with growing autonomy as experience develops.

  • Accountable for the quality of briefs entering the creative team and the day-to-day momentum of assigned projects.

  • A reliable and consistent contributor to the operational performance of the client services function.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • 4 -7 years’ experience in an account management role within a creative, integrated or in-house agency environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multi-channel project delivery from brief to completion.

  • Good client communication skills, with the confidence to manage day-to-day relationships at a mid-level.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines.

  • Beginning to develop commercial awareness, with an understanding of budgets and project scope.

  • Experience providing support and guidance to more junior members of an account team.

  • A clear understanding of the creative development process and what makes a good brief.
