We currently have a great opportunity for the position of Container Surveyor based at our Naikabula Depot who will be responsible for the survey and inspection of shipping containers gated into the depot and to assess any damages sustained. The Container Surveyor will report directly to the Naikabula Depot Manager.

Job Description

  • Structural survey of shipping containers once gated in and survey 6 sides.
  • Update handheld devices immediately of damages assessed.
  • Determine minor repairs and upgrades to shipping containers.
  • For any container damages, assess damage and quote repair.
  • Send quote to principal for approval to repair containers.
  • Co-ordinate with workshop for repairs and maintenance of container
  • Look after material stocks.
  • Ensure workshop is OHS compliant.

Qualifications

  • The Entry requirement for this position is completion of Form 7 level at Secondary School or higher qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Preferably IICL certified although this can be attained with on-the-job training
  • Physically fit to handle the demands of the job
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to health and safety
  • The ability to follow procedures
  • A strong work ethic, commitment to attendance, flexible and being a team player
