We are seeking a reliable and proactive Arils Lead to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee daily operations within the Arils department, ensuring employees are working safely, following GMP standards, and complying with company policies. This position plays a critical role in meeting operational goals through effective staffing, coaching, and quality control.

Compensation Range: $22.00 - $28.00

Job Description

Here's what you'll do:

  • Ensure all employees in assigned areas follow GMPs, safety protocols, and company policies at all times
  • Schedule and monitor staffing levels to meet daily production goals
  • Oversee palletizing of finished goods and ensure timely, accurate completion of customer orders
  • Monitor and report hourly case counts
  • Follow and execute the daily run plan accurately
  • Train and coach both returning and new employees on equipment use and process flow in assigned areas
  • Maintain GMP/housekeeping at a high level through the involvement of all team members
  • Implement existing production recipes and make necessary adjustments to produce within specifications
  • Monitor the quality of incoming raw materials and finished products by reviewing lab data
  • Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements
  • Supervise and train sanitation staff; oversee sanitation of facilities and grounds as the plant sanitarian
  • Maintain SDS records for all lab and production chemicals; train employees on their proper use
  • Work with pest control vendors to ensure an effective pest management program is in place
  • Conduct daily startup checks including scales, product codes, and tare weights
  • Ensure chemical treatment of process water is maintained; coordinate QA coverage during breaks
  • Take line samples and perform environmental monitoring swabs as directed
  • Strictly adhere to GMPs and SSOP monitoring activities
  • Conduct quality checks on finished product and monitor weights, traceability, and other prerequisite program activities
  • Submit samples to internal lab for appropriate analysis and testing
  • Isolate any extraneous material found in products, notify relevant departments, and maintain records
  • Assure specifications are met before accepting shipments
  • Supervise production workers as directed by the Production Supervisor or Production Manager
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, promoting professionalism and teamwork
  • Promptly escalate any employee performance or attendance concerns to the Supervisor

Qualifications

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to stand for long periods of time , reaching bending and turning
  • Able to work in cold and wet environment.
  • Able to clearly communicate with other leads or supervisors.
  • Able to climb stairs and platforms.
  • Able to watch fast moving conveyors without getting sick.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Prefer someone with leadership experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (preferred Bi- Lingual Spanish/English).
