The National Account Manager for FIJI Water Canada will be responsible for all account strategy and management of food, drug, and mass customers. This position will play an integral role in creating process and business development strategies working to achieve the overall sales and revenue objectives of National and Key Accounts. This role is an Individual Contributor with no direct reports. This position reports to the General Manager – Canada.
Job Description
- Manage Retail Account Level P&L for FIJI Water.
- Develop and Drive Top to Top Relationship with assigned Key Retailers to include national and regional retailers.
- Drive improved execution of account programming by collaborating with national and regional headquarter contacts and appropriate internal Sales Team.
- Ensures that shelving, pricing, merchandising, objectives are achieved consistently with Portfolio/Brand strategy, account objectives and efficient trade spending.
- Drive quality business communication and ongoing cross-functional interaction with Retail Trade Execution Sales Team, Sales Planning, Business Development, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing.
- Leverage analytical resources to include Sales Force Data to optimize distribution, monitor/manage OOS conditions, optimal SKU/pricing strategies, and trade spend.
- Take lead and initiative in understanding overall category and competitive trends.
- Provide quarterly updates and reviews to measure against account goals.
- Must be available for business travel up to 60% of the time to include occasional nights and weekends.
Qualifications
- 5 plus years of food and/or beverage sales experience including key account management.
- Experience in P&L management to include financial/volume planning and forecasting.
- Must be bilingual in English and French
- BS/BA degree in business, finance, related field highly preferred.
- Must have minimum 5-year experience in direct call responsibility for Grocery, Drug and Mass accounts.
- A minimum of 5 years field management experience working with internal Sales Managers in the beverage industry is preferred.
- Experienced utilizing syndicated data to build fact based selling stores/presentations (i.e. Nielsen, IRI,).
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to successfully work and achieve goals with a minimum amount of direction and possess strong planning skills to manage the business across a region.
- Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative, be proactive in identifying issues and recommend solutions, build relationships with customers and internal associates, and follow through on all aspects of the business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and articulate key conclusions.
- Ability to present both internally (sales team, senior leadership) and externally (retailers)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a team mentality.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Customer service mindset to ensure internal/external partners receive quality sales support.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
