Job Description
Overview:
This position requires a customer-oriented Food Service Business Coordinator to ensure that all restaurant operations run smoothly. The Food Service Business Coordinator’s responsibilities include overseeing the activities of restaurant staff, expediting customers' orders as needed, scheduling, inventory and but not limited to maintaining good working relationships with employees and suppliers.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Maintain quality control for all food served
- Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service and responding to customer complaints
- Order goods, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products
- Demonstrate proactive planning for the department and area in terms of next day planning, safety, sanitation, maintenance and team needs.
- Create employee schedules
- Review time punch details for team members within food service.
- Holds team members accountable when having performance, attendance or company policies issues
- Work with other leads, supervisors and managers to manage immediate tasks as well as special requests.
- Oversee health code compliance and sanitation standards
- Inspect equipment area and complete work orders as necessary
- Create and update Bright signs and other communication
- Teach and provide direction to employees to adhere to food service requirements
- Interprets company policies and procedures to team members, works with team members to resolve job problems
- Ensure team members are trained in the safe, correct and efficient operation of equipment and tasks in their area
- Coach and inspire each member of their area to achieve a higher level of performance. Serve as a role model in the department
- Ensure all safety meetings, incident investigations, follow-ups and audits are conducted in a timely manner as well as represent area in Safety committee meetings as a Safety Champion;
- Generate weekly, monthly and yearly fiscal reports
- Monitor and record inventory of goods
- Monitor restaurant’s cash flow and settling outstanding accounts
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of a leadership role in food service (Front and/or Back of House)
- Speak read and write in the English language, bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic accounting skills
- Knowledge in scheduling
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment
Pay Range: $22.00-$26.00. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
