The Wonderful Company's Corporate Accounting Department in Los Angeles is looking for a seasoned Accounts Payable Specialist who is pro-active, thrives in an automated environment, and produces a high volume of timely and accurate work. It is essential to be well versed in all facets of the Accounts Payable function to ensure success in this role. This individual will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and is a full-time position.
The ideal candidate is an individual whose career focus is Accounts Payable and desires to further develop their existing experience, knowledge, and technical skill. You will be self-motivated, detail oriented, have a commitment to continuous improvement, be creative, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and complex environment.
Job Description
- Deliver a high volume of transactional work with accuracy and timeliness
- Work on multiple Company ERP systems plus an invoice routing software utilizing OCR
- Use expense software to audit expenses and provide analytical reports as needed
- Monitor/Manage Accounts Payable mailboxes
- Handle vendor correspondence ensuring timely and professional responses
- Research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing invoices and payments
- Reconcile vendor account statements
- Provide excellent customer service and training about Accounts Payable and Expense Reporting processes to both internal and external customers
- Provide analytical reporting upon request
- Create, lead and or participate in process improvement projects both within Accounts Payable and cross-functionally as appropriate
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of consistent Accounts Payable experience
- Proactive and positive attitude with the ability to multi-task and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Oracle or similar large-scale ERP system
- Experience with working in a paperless environment using OCR Technology
- Intermediate level knowledge of Outlook, WORD and EXCEL
- B.A/B.S.; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to prioritize, work effectively, and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Desire to identify problems and work to resolve them independently or with the team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service to provide clear and detailed responses
- Sense of urgency and accountability to follow-up on pending issues or outstanding requests
- Quick and accurate data entry skills
Pay Rate: $31.65-33.65/hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
