Job Description
We’re looking for an HR Coordinator (Operations) who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with detail and complexity, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. This is a great opportunity to grow your HR career while supporting a diverse and vibrant workforce.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle and ensuring our HR services run smoothly and efficiently. Your work will involve both high-volume processing and stakeholder support.
Ngā Haepapa Matua | Key Responsibilities (not limited too):
- Supporting recruitment processes, including offer approvals and onboarding
- Providing end-to-end HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle (contracts, parental leave, variations, secondments, exits, and more)
- Processing and interpreting high volumes of HR information with a strong focus on accuracy and detail
- Advising staff and managers on HR policies, processes, and guidelines
- Providing system support (e.g. Workday or similar) and guidance to employees and managers
- Working closely with Faculty support staff and wider HR teams
- Partnering with Payroll and other HR teams to ensure accurate employee data
- Responding to queries across multiple channels
- Building strong, trusted relationships across the organization
- Contributing ideas to improve systems, processes, and service delivery
The role is a full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week)
The remuneration is $63,300 - $70,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

He kōrero mōu | About you
You’ll bring:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an HR environment
- Experience supporting the employee lifecycle and the processing of data in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence working with HR systems - experience with Workday would be advantageous (or similar large platforms)
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A good understanding of HR processes, policies, and guidelines
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong customer service focus and ability to manage competing priorities
- The ability to build relationships across a wide range of people
- Experience in a large or complex organisation (such as the tertiary or public sector) would be advantageous
- Familiarity with ticketing or case management systems
- Knowledge of NZ employment legislation
