Our Product Engineering division, an arm of Digital Services is seeking a Test Analyst experienced to join our innovative department on a permanent basis. You may be earlier in your career (1-2 years’) and looking for that next step-up to challenge and grow your testing skills across a range of complex IT systems. This is a unique opportunity to do just that within a supportive working environment!
Reporting to the Digital Test Manager, this role provides support for testing solutions that meet the specialised needs of our organisation, while assisting the consistent delivery of high-quality digital outcomes and solutions.
Some key responsibilities for this role include:
- Quality Assurance tasks on Solutions that are developed, configured, or maintained
- Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders’ enterprise wide
- Validate end to end Business process from end user perspective
- Provide support for maintenance of solutions

This position will be based at our modern offices at the Newmarket Campus, as well as across the City campus as required. Flexible working is also widely utilised and is dependent on the requirements of your role at the given time.

Our ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate skills in Testing both Functional and Non-Functional with enterprise-class systems. Confidence to operate in a large and complex organisation will be essential to your success in this role, as the university is one of NZ’s largest tech hubs.
You’ll be joining an established agile team of engineers, so you’ll need to have an innovative and investigative mindset. This will enable you to be flexible and adaptive in changing environments and to meet altered requirements.
In addition, we are also looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, driven and committed to continuous learning.
You’ll also need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
- At least a year’s experience in Software Testing
- The ability to pick-up new domain areas, platforms, tools and processes quicky
- Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Case design experience
- Some understanding of Test Automation
